70 Years of Mylar® Polyester Films

In 1954 the first reels of Mylar® polyester film were manufactured in Circleville, Ohio on the world’s first commercial BOPET production line.  To demonstrate its strength Mylar® polyester film was used to hoist a three-ton car and platform. Mylar® polyester films combination of properties make it suitable for a wide range of applications, continuously innovating and working with customers and suppliers is why we celebrate 70 years of Mylar® Polyester Films today.
